ICM meeting updates

We are 10 days out from the consensus meeting.

We hope you are planning to attend the meeting. If you are not, can you please tell us. We are still waiting to hear from some of you regarding your plans. The meeting will start on Wednesday, July 25 at 8:30 AM. Registration and breakfast will be open at 7:30 AM. The meeting will be at the Connelly Auditorium in Hamilton Building (same place as the last consensus:1001 Locust Street, Philadelphia, PA 19107). The venue is within walking distance (few minutes) to Loews, Marriott, and Ritz hotels. Please be on time as we have a packed agenda (see agenda).

Each of you will be given the consensus document on a flash drive and will also be able to download an App when you arrive, to access the material. The plan is to discuss some of the controversial general questions in the large auditorium on Wednesday AM. In the afternoon subspecialty groups will go to breakout rooms to discuss their questions. The hip and knee group will stay in the large auditorium for discussion of some of the hip and knee questions. The goal is to have all the questions (stem) and the recommendations finalized for the voting on Thursday (general questions) and Friday (subspecialty questions).

The plan is to transition to the MSIS meeting later in the day on Friday, followed by the dinner (the dress code for the dinner on Friday is casual). Food and beverages will be served throughout the meeting. We have left Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday night free for delegates to do what they wish. The restaurant scene is great in Philadelphia. There is dinner in Dr. Parvizi’s house on Friday evening. Please let us know if you plan to attend. We are waiting to hear from some of you. We will send your assignments, regarding which questions to review in detail, prior to the meeting. The assignments will be sent at the end of this week.

See you all in Philadelphia. We are looking forward to seeing you all and to a successful meeting.
